We will hold a Summer Camp on August 24th, at the St. Paul International Lutheran Church in Iidabashi, Tokyo from 10:00 - 16:00.
The fee is 3,000 yen for the day (bring your own lunch and wear loose clothing...no skirts!)
Join us for a day of immersive music! Three experienced workshop leaders will introduce music and rhythm through singing, the mastery of tone chimes and eurhythmics! Dr. Steven Morgan, longtime Tokyo Embassy Choir music director and conductor of the Tokyo International Children’s Choir, will lead the a cappella singing workshop. He brings nearly five decades of choral and orchestral experience to the TICC, including composition for voice and orchestra. Ms. Masako Kanno brings nearly 30 years of experience teaching tone chimes and the love of music to students of all ages in various venues (schools, churches, nursing homes, etc.). She will introduce participants to the art and experience of "listening" through her workshop.
Ms. Azumi Shimizu is a certified Dalcroze Eurhythmics teacher who has also earned master’s degrees in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and piano performance at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, USA. She has taught this unique approach to musical learning through movement to all ages. Eurhythmics engages the ears, body and mind to develop coordination, awareness and creativity as well as enhance positivity and decision-making skills.
